Biografía

Alberto Mendoza, mejor conocido como MC CEJA, nació en Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Comenzó a darse a conocer en lo que se llamaba: “underground,” al formar parte del legendario grupo, “DJ Eric: La Industria.” Su primera producción como solista, “Luz Solar,” grabada a mediados del ‘96, vendió mas de 50 mil copias y lo convirtió en el favorito del publico, con temas como “Confusión.”

También junto a DJ Eric, Ceja formo parte de la producción: "Los Tres Mosqueteros," en colaboración con Lito y Polaco. Su segunda producción como solista titulada "Todo ha Cambiado,” lo mantuvo en la cima al pegar temas como “The Breaks (Te Invito Al Party).” Participo también en “DJ Eric: La Industria, Vol. 1-5”, haciendo temas como “No Paciencia” y “Abran Los Canales” en lo que son hoy día, unos clásicos dentro del genero. Ceja En el 2001 Ceja graba su tercer disco: “Boricua’s State of Mind,” cuyo tema de promoción fue “Desnudate feat. Wisin y Yandel.”

Durante su carrera, Ceja ha participado en distintos proyectos como el “El Cartel de Yankee,” “La Misión,” “Tempo: Game Over,” "Pina Records: The Company," "La Conspiración", “Buddha's Family 2: Desde La Prision,” entre otros. Recientemente, colaboro junto a Daddy Yankee en el tema y video de “Somos de Calle Remix,” donde también salieron artistas como Arcángel, Julio Voltio y Baby Rasta. En el 2008 también participo en el tema de “Free Tempo: Chosen Few Official Remix.”

A fines del 2008 lanzo su cuarta producción como solista titulada "Luz Solar 2", bajo su propio sello discográfico Get Low Records, LLC. y en febrero del 2010 promociono “Mr. Conflicto The Mixtape.”

En el 2013, MC Ceja estrena su propuesta musical, titulada “Como Antes,” con la participación de artistas como Ivy Queen, Divino, Voltio, Guelo Star,

entre otros. En este proyecto Ceja se lanza también como productor musical, al producir la mayoría de las canciones desde su estudio en Miami, FL.

 

En el 2014, Ceja lanzo temas como "Mendoza y Ortega, Pt. 2", "Ninguno Frontea", "I Love Music", entre otros sencillos.  En el 2015, empezo con el estreno de "Inolvidable", volviendo a sus raices de hip hop y ademas s ejunta con el reconocido artista Guelo Star, para el lanzamiento de el album, "Double Trouble", donde colaboran con artistas como J Alvarez, Tony Lenta y Polakan.  Tambien lanzo el sencillo, "Mil Formas De Vivir, Pt. 2", junto al notorio rapero boricua, Tempo.  

 

En el 2016 hizo un fuerte regreso con temas como "Solo Me Dejo", posicionandose por mas entre el Top 20 del Mediabase Latin Urban Chart. Además lanzo canciones como "Otra Noche" junto a Jory Boy, "Que Se Joda el Coro" junto a Ñejo y "Solo Me Dejo Remix" junto a Jowell & Randy.  En el 2017 colabora con Ñengo Flow en "Los Matamos", con Nio Garcia en "Te Quiero Ver" y con Baby Rasta y Gringo en "Loba". También le recuerda al público el gran liricista que es en el tema de "Iron Fist".   

 

En el 2018 nuevamente regresa al top de los charts con el tema "Bacalao" junto a Alberto Stylee & DJ Nelson, pocisionandose por mas de 16 semanas en el Top 20 del Billboard Tropical Airplay.  Ahora mismo se encuentra promocionando su producción como solista, titulada "King Mendo", con el cual debutó numero 3 en iTunes. Dominando rimas en inglés y español, representando la cultura Hip Hop y dominando el Reggaeton con el flow que lo caracteriza como el rey de su estilo, comparte en su séptimo álbum como solista, temas junto a Jowell & Randy, Guelo Star, Kendo Kaponi, Yaviah, Chyno Nyno, Omar Garcia y Siete Nueve, Getto & Gastam, Lyan, D-Enyel, DNA y Letra.  Además cuenta con la colaboración de algunos de los mejores productores musicales de la industria como DJ Nelson, D’Note “The Beatllionare” y Alex Rosa.

MC Ceja was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. His breakthrough came when he met Reggaeton producer, DJ Eric, and became part of the notorious group “La Industria.” Ceja started to appear in productions such as “Hip Hop Reggae Mix”, “Street Style 1-2”, and he was also a major part in “DJ Eric: Industry Volumes 3, 4, 5” which produced lots of memorable songs from MC Ceja like, "No Paciencia," "Jingle, Jangle" "So Good," "Shalalalon," among others.

In 1996, Ceja launched his first solo album called “Luz Solar”, selling over fifty thousand copies. "Confusión" was part of this production and was number 1 in the charts for at least 10 consecutive weeks.

In 1998, Ceja was able to produce another solo album titled, “Todo Ha Cambiado”, in which he composed and performed another hit single: "The Breaks (Te Invito al Party)". That same year, he also collaborated with Lito y Polaco in “Los Tres Mosqueteros” where together, they produced yet another hit song with a video release, called "Chicas Interesadas."

Ceja went back into the studio with DJ Eric and produced his third solo album, “Boricua's State of Mind”, which was released in 2001, with the single "Desnúdate" featuring Wisin & Yandel. He composed some more songs for collaborations, such as “La Conspiración Vol. 1”, “Pina Records: The Company” and “Pina Records: La Conspiración Vol 2”, with hits such as "Yeah, Yeah" and "Dile a El".
Ceja also demonstrated his lyrical talent in “Daddy Yankee’s: El Cartel II” and he has recorded with other well-known artists within the genre, such as Tempo, Ivy Queen, Arcangel, Voltio, Baby Rasta, Special Ed, BF Yaviah, Getto & Gastam, among others. Ceja also appears in various artist compilations such as “Majestic”, “La Mision 1 – 3”, “DJ Frank: Time to Kill,” and many others.

In 2005, he collaborated with Cuban Link in “Buddha’s Family 2: Desde la Prison.” He appeared in this same production with three songs, among them his single, "Mr. Conflicto". In 2008, he released his fourth solo album: “Luz Solar 2,” under his own record label, Get Low Records, LLC. The album sold more than 30 thousand copies independently and includes songs such as “Running,” “What’s My Name,” “Gangsta Love,” among others. He then produced his fifth solo album: “Mr. Conflicto,” and gave it away as a free download for his fans, as a show of appreciation in what has become the digital era of music.

In 2013, MC Ceja promoted his musical proposal, called “Como Antes,” which includes collaborations with artists like Ivy Queen, Voltio, Divino, Guelo Star, and more. With songs such as “Botelleo,” “Dime,” and “Lost In Space,” as part of its track list, “Como Antes” is a project worth listening to and pleasant to watch with various music video releases.  

 

In 2014, Ceja released singles such as "Mendoza y Ortega, Pt. 2", "Ninguno Frontea", "I Love Music", and many more. After that, in 2015, he started the year with the premiere of "Inolvidable", going back to his hard core hip hop roots.  He also teamed up with known Latin artist, Guelo Star, for the release of the album titled, "Double Trouble", which had collaborations with artists such as J Alvarez, Tony Lenta and Polakan.  He recently launched the single, "Mil Formas De Vivir, Pt. 2", alongside notorious Puerto Rican rapper, Tempo.  Ceja is in the last staged of production for his fifth solo album, "Mendo", which is expected in 2016.   

In 2016 he made a strong comeback with songs like "Solo Me Dejo", positioning himself among the Top 20 of the Mediabase Latin Urban Chart. He also released songs like "Otra Noche" with Jory Boy, "Que Se Joda el Coro" with Ñejo and "Solo Me Dejo Remix" with Jowell & Randy. In 2017 he collaborated with Ñengo Flow in "Los Matamos", with Nio Garcia in "Te Quiero Ver" and with Baby Rasta and Gringo in "Loba". He also reminds his fans of the great lyricist that he is with the release of his single "Iron Fist".
